There should be no doubt now among Political Pundants, that President Obama is in serious trouble and nothing short of a miraical is going to save him from becoming a Lame Duck President. It’s that bad, no matter what any of the presidents supporters say, or try to portray. He’s in trouble and that is all there is to it.

Republicans are nipping at his heals as he goes down the stretch toward what many now project will be a disastrous election for Democrats. However, in the end, they have no one to blame but themselves. They pushed a far left agenda far to fast, and were ill prepared for the reaction of the voting public. Any damage that they made can not be cleaned up before the election. Jobs are scarce, the economy is in the pits, and the legislation pushed has upset so many that they are now looking only for revenge. One way to do that is to decline a trip to the polls on election day. Another is to vote for another party.

The problem that the public has though is far more complex than just not being happy with Democrats. The fact is that they are not happy with Republicans either. They want change, and they do not think Republicans or Democrats will bring it.

Enter Independents and so called Tea Baggers. Both would represent change, but Tea Partyers are being portrayed as nothing more than Republicans in disguise. However, their message has been popular. Independents have had a hard time just getting off the ground. With a lot of Candidates calling themselves Tea Party Members, they are promising a far right, if not radical Conservative approach. Their message sounds good to a voter just fed up with the status quo. Whether that agenda is good for the country remains to be seen. One thing is for sure, they are not going to become the majority in Congress. However, they could become a thorn in the side of both Democrats and Republicans. If they succeed in splitting the majority then they would be a forced to be reckoned with. That means both Democrats and Republicans would have to seek their support on vital legislation in order to get anything done.

The voter is watching though. They will be watching after the election. If Congress as a whole has not got the message, then two years from now could be quite traumatic for the two-party system in The U.S. The Tea Party might form its own party, Independents might gain in political strength, and a three-way split could become the norm. However, candidates and winners alike should understand something. Those good ol’ days of making pledges, and promises, then ignoring all right after the election will not be tolerated by this new age voting public. They are more aware, more sophisticated than previous voters and they mean business, with a serious “B”.

Their jobs are gone, their economy is in the toilet, we are unpopular throughout Europe, with  this so-called invasion of Arabic people into the United States, comes radical Islam which threatens the very security of freedom. They are losing their homes and their way of life is fast disappearing. They are angry, they want results, and want to see a turn around. Anything less is failure, and will spell serious consequences in 2012.

Any way it goes, president Obama is seen as a major disappointment. However, he might be the catapult of a lesson well learned. What looks good on the outside, might not be so great on the inside when revealed. Thus, in the future, they will be carefull how they vote in future elections. They won’t be so quick to endorse the guy who has a good rap, but will be looking for something more concrete. If elected there had not better a hidden agenda as most voters perceive this president had.

However, it needs to be understood, this is not going to be a bland election. On a State to State basis, this election is going to prove most interesting. A lot of changes are going to be made. They are made by an angry public, who are no longer hoping for a better tomorrow, they are demanding it, their patience grows thin. Thin indeed!

That’s my point of view………..What do you think? ………… I look forward to hearing from you, meanwhile…………..Have a great day!

And God Bless America!!!

I am 62 years old. I've been blogging for several years. I am into History and Politics as well as currant events. The latter being the main issues covered on these pages. I was a Community Advocate for twenty years, and a volunteer aide in a State Representatives Office in my home state of Michigan. While I have basically ceased these activities, I still watch the world around me closely and report on it as much as I can, which I might add is often. I encourage comments on my Blogs. I only ask that we keep our opinions clean and without insults threats or intimidation. I hope you take time to read The Horton Journal, and look forward to your comments.
