I guess I should not be all that surprised with the Washington crowd. The Political games are already starting and the new breed, if you will, has not yet even graced Pennsylvania Ave.

Already Moderate Republicans are blaming the Tea Party members for  a gridlocked Congress. we won’t be able to get anything done, one apparently said because the far Right will be persistent in challenging the moderates.  Mean while the Tea Party Folk are making it clear, quite clear in deed, that they have no intention whatever in taking a seat at the back of the chamber while the Ol’ Boy Network takes care of business. They plan very much on being a part of the proceedings. The were elected for a purpose, and the people who elected them expect something from them. Not only that, but they are on a mission. They feel that they have a cause, and that they have to act on that cause.

Of course, as we all know, the Obama Health Care Reform Act is at the top of their list. They are not interested in amendments, not interested in compromise. They do not plan to twik it, alter it, revise it, or renew it. They plan on introducing legislation to repeal what they call Obama-Care. Some have said that when the Bill hits the Presidents desk and is vetoed promptly, they will in turn re-introduce the Bill, send it back to the Presidents desk, whereupon he will veto it again, and they will pursue re-introduction again and again, over and over. They plan on making their point.

As for moderates, they are forewarned that they will not tolerate politics as usual. The Tea Party Conservatives insist that the voice of America was load and clear on election day. The time for swift determined action is now. They are not going to sit around awaiting a turn at the political helm. They plan on taking the bull by the horns and advocating their cause.

democrats talk compromise, a willingness to talk. They are asking for rationale, reason and time. They are saying there is a need to work together. The issues must be addressed, but there is a process. Then there is the president, he says he has learned from all this, it is time to work together and compromise. But only to a point. Obama Care is one of those points. On taxes President Obama says he is willing to cut some slack for the rich, and reduce the tax levels he proposed on them.

Then there is the overall political plan. That is to get this president out of office. The Republicans want the White House, the Senate and the House. They want it all. They figure Phase one is complete. Yes Sir, a House divided is sure to fail. They can blame it all on the President, and Democrats. The electorate will do what has to be done. Dems out, Reps in and they got it all again. After all it was theirs in the first place. The Democrats and this upstart Obama was nothing more than a political fluke. A mere bubble, that has to be popped.

Then there is the voter. Who is hearing more rhetorical crap again. Wondering what they might have done. They will watch, wait, and take notes. Lots of notes, plenty of notes. Come 2012, if things are not the way they want it to be. They will without hesitation make changes again. And around and around we go. Where we stop no body knows. Here and there,  back and forth, too and fro, Hither-Dither and Yon.

It’s the same ol’ game, nothings changed. Elections are over, and its back to normal. But something is happening out there. Its different, and Washington had better pay attention.

That the way I see it. Hope to hear your point of view.

Have a great night and as usual…………..God Bless America!!!

I am 62 years old. I've been blogging for several years. I am into History and Politics as well as currant events. The latter being the main issues covered on these pages. I was a Community Advocate for twenty years, and a volunteer aide in a State Representatives Office in my home state of Michigan. While I have basically ceased these activities, I still watch the world around me closely and report on it as much as I can, which I might add is often. I encourage comments on my Blogs. I only ask that we keep our opinions clean and without insults threats or intimidation. I hope you take time to read The Horton Journal, and look forward to your comments.
