There is no doubt that the wounds suffered during the 2008 campaign are still deep and ozzing some contempt between Hillery Clinton and Barrack Obama. They are though, tolerant of each other. As a matter of fact, throughout this Administration they to have both seemed to work well together.
This past week for example, we all know by now the President had a bad week in his Mid-East trip to India. During an Economic Summit President Obama was put somewhere down at the end of the line. China payed the President very little attention. What ever it was the President had to say was not the main topic at the Dinner Table that night. He came home empty-handed. A more or less depressed President came in to the office down and gloomy when all of a sudden it’s announced that Hillery Clinton has succeeded in a month-long halting of building in Israeli areas claimed by the Palestinians.
There has never been a touchy touch feeling between the Clintons and president Obama. They feel that the presidency was flat-out stolen from them by this charismatic rookie up start. They cling to a possible shot at the White House in 2012. They hope he decides not to seek a second term. I might add that many Americans feel the same way. So far, according to the polls, this administration has been a dismal failure.
Now if Hillary could just get into the race and become the Candidate for President…she might be able to pull this thing off. That is a 2012 run. However, there is another woman waiting in the wings ready it seems, to jump in for a run for the big one. Enter Sarah Palin. No experience of course. Not all that bright, (Quiver), Blurts out whatever, before thinking about her blurt out! and God only knows how she might handle a real National Emergency. She might have been Governor of Alaska, but rumors abound she was not all that hot about the job. Too much exposure time, too much work, not enough family time. After all Ms. Palin says she is nothing more than a Socker Mom! uh huhhhhh!
Ok, scenario; Clinton -V- Palin in 2012. Now that ought to be an interesting race. Lady Popularity, the one who went Rouge, up against Clinton who now would say she has the experience and the know how when it comes to the Presidency. Besides, she knows her way around the ol’ place!
However, America is a rapidly changing place. Moods swings abound. How we feel today might not at all reflect how we feel tomorrow. So, anything can happen between now and then. However, it warrants that we watch the signals, the potential candidates who would have the gall to run for this job. The ones willing to have the media and the electorate tear them limb from limb, opening old wounds, new wounds, and wounds that no one ever knew about. Their lives spewed all over the front page of some news paper making them look as if they were from another planet or something.
Gad…I’m glad I’m not running for office. The wife is calling, wants me to reach boxes in the storage Bin, Christmas lights gotta go up. So I’ll end this round.
Have a great day and as usual…………God Bless America!
