The United States was founded by Christians.  While the founding fathers recognized the freedom and the exercise of different religions, the fact that this nation was founded on Christianity is a documented fact.  Most of the founders of The United States were Christians, and as a matter of fact, what many do not know is that in the early days of our nation, one could not serve in any leadership of any kind, including political leadership if they did not have a Christian background.

Most of our founding fathers therefore, had a Christian background.

The foundation of Democracy dictates the freedom to exercise ones religious belief.  This is your religion.  You have a right to believe the way that you do.  Your faith might not be that of The United States, however, you, as an individual have a right to believe the way that you do.  In The United States of America there is a separation of Church and Sate.  The State does not for example, dictate that Christianity is the religion of this land and that all laws must and will be formed around that faith.

On the other hand, no other religion enjoys that right.  There seems to be a major debate in American society today.  That debate is the special rights of one religion over another; the idea that certain things, rights, privileges, and allowances should be made available for one group as opposed to another.  That is where the government builds or maintains, for example, space for Islamic prayer.  That should never have been the responsibility of the government.  It is a form of imposition of religious belief on all society to appease the religious belief or traditions of another.

All other religions in this country have enjoyed the freedoms of The United Sates without any imposition or special changes, and laws.  No other religion in the United States has attempted to impose their ideology on all society out of respect for the needs of their religion.  The only group that feels that special rules should be built in for them is Islam.  This is wrong.  It violates my right, your rights, and those rights handed down by the Constitution of The United Sates.

All across Europe, as we speak, Islamic groups are pushing their religion on the people of that nation.  It starts with little allowances.  Let us do this or that, out of respect for our religion.  The government caves in out of tolerance.  Then they come in and say we need this or that out of respect for our religion.  They give in.  The introduction of Shea laws in a certain part of town, because there are so many Islamic persons living there.  You see they believe in strict Shea law and conduct themselves in that manner.  So Government law should thus recognize Shea law.  The government caves in again.  Now they want to expand the zone of Shea law. Then it’s the whole city, the county, then the District.  The next thing you know you have two sets of laws, intertwined and mixed, and all citizens, Muslim or not must adhere to them.  It ends with Islamic law being imposed upon anyone.  Even the legislative process as well as law is subject to an Islamic Clerics approval.  In short, Islam controls the country.  A religious belief system controls everyone.

yesterday, I heard the story however, where the Vice president of Australia, apparently at the very beginning of Islamic infiltration, informed Islam and other religions, that their country was a Christian nation, that the foundation and beliefs of their country was Christian, that this concept would not be over ruled by another religious order.  That’s the way it is, you’re welcome here, but will live under our laws, which are not being changed for you.  Your order, your religion, is not going to take over and control the order of our Social structure.  I found this interesting, and wondered just how things might have been if france, Germany or for that matter The United States might have clarified this at the outset rather than allow any other religious group to impose their traditions or law upon their nation.

The United Sates stands in danger of losing many of her freedoms if we do not as a nation stand up, and make it clear to all religious orders that this Nation is founded upon the Christian ethic, and that while others might be welcome here, and even permitted to practice their faith, because that is the very concept behind the freedom of religious belief, they can not, and will not turn their religion into the religion of this society.  Their Shea laws will not be intwined with Constitutional law, and they will just have to live with that.  If they cannot, then so be it, there is always their right to return to saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran, Afganistan, or wherever they came from in the first place.  For them at least, maybe, just maybe, the American dream was not all it was hyped up to be. For the rest of us, this great experiment, called freedom, Democracy, is acceptable, and we intend on assuring that it remains that way!

That’s my point of view…..What do you think?  I look forward to hearing your opinions on the issues of the day!

Have a great day!

I am 62 years old. I've been blogging for several years. I am into History and Politics as well as currant events. The latter being the main issues covered on these pages. I was a Community Advocate for twenty years, and a volunteer aide in a State Representatives Office in my home state of Michigan. While I have basically ceased these activities, I still watch the world around me closely and report on it as much as I can, which I might add is often. I encourage comments on my Blogs. I only ask that we keep our opinions clean and without insults threats or intimidation. I hope you take time to read The Horton Journal, and look forward to your comments.

That is so not true. our founding fathers were mostly Freemasons and Atheists. The United states was founded as a secular nation that would not disciminate against any religion. Muslim have as much of a right to practice thier religion as Christians do. Alot of Muslims are born in the united States and are black, white Asian etc. You talk about how wrong Shia law is (wich isn’t a legitimate Islamic practice) yet you wan’t to implement a Christian version of Shia law and tell Muslims that in the US they cant have their own culture and customs. No, america is not a Christian country, it is a multi-cultural nation.
