Casey Anthony nik named Tot Mom, by Nancy Grace of CNN News, was found not guilty of 1st Degree Murder, Manslaughter, and Child Abuse in a Florida court room yesterday.  Throngs of people out side were stunned beyond belief. A whole nation, it seemed had been glued to their TV watching the trial.  Of course the media did everything they could, as usual, to whip everyone into a frenzy over the trial of a woman accused of killing and then burying her two-year old daughter.

I am not going to indulge in the events of the case.  By the time I got done, it would be around 8:00pm and close time to go to work.  In as much that in the last 32 hours I have had little sleep, if any at all, it serves me best to say what I have to say, and then, do what I have to do.  That is to get some sleep.  However, before that, I have to do what we Bloggers do, and compete for my place in the Social Media.

I listened to the very end of the case, and only in spurts. I found it all very interesting, but kept going back to the same conclusion over and over again.  The Prosecution has no case!  No case at all.  The whole case is a sham, built on a weak pile of assumptions, if not made up, unprovable allegations built upon supposition.  We are talking murder one here, I thought, this girls life is on the line.  And the prosecution has no proof at all that this two-year old child was even murdered.

True, the baby was found bound up in a swamp. But autopsy results did not prove murder, because the body was so decomposed that all that remained was bones. The person who found the skull also messed around with the evidence. The so-called Duct tape over the skull might have been rearranged.

This morning I had the opportunity to listen to an interview with Warner Spitz who said that the prosecution did a lousy job on on its medical exam and results.  Bone Moral, for example, can tell so much, that the 84-year-old well-known Forensic Examiner, was stunned that more chemical analysis was not done. Was it murder, or accidental drowning.  Instead, the body was cremated. There goes the forensic evidence.

Everyone is angry at the Defense attorneys for the job they did. After, all people cry, they got this killer off.  Hello!!!  That’s exactly what they were supposed to do.  Of course, after the prosecutions poor performance, all the Defense had to do was remind the jury of the simple fact……The prosecution does not have a case.

To convict in a capital Murder Offense, one must be assured that above and beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant, in this case, Casey Anthony did in fact murder her daughter.  No doubt about it!  The case is clear!  No doubts, reconsideration, or questions. She did it, that’s it, that’s all there is to it, the forensic as well as physical evidence is beyond reproch….Murder One!

The prosecution could not, did not, present a case coupled with evidence that Casey Anthony did in fact, beyond any reasonable doubt murder her daughter.  Now Folks, that’s all there is to it.

After a month away from their family, locked away in some hotel room, the jury did what they were charged to do.

Nancy Grace, and all the rest of the media blating away on their sensational version of what they think happened, can holler and “Catter Wail” all they want.  However, facts are facts.  As it was so well said in the O.J. Simpson case several years ago…..If the glove don’t fit, you got to acquit!  That Ladies and gentlemen is exactly what happened here. the Glove just did not fit, the jury had no choice therefore but to acquit!  Of course, the prosecution couldn’t even present a glove.

Did Casey Anthony kill her daughter?  Did she wrap her in a blanket, and duct tape her, and then bury her in a shallow grave in a swamp mere blocks from her home?  Did she cover it all up?  Or, was there a terrible accident, that got way out of control?

We might never know.  But the media frenzy of this case, like that of the O.J. Simpson case are good examples of why it might had been better to just keep the cameras out of the court room in the first place. Such high-profile cases are fought in court rooms every day.  And the jury’s seeks the truth, so as to better impose justice. However, when the media is hanging on every word, interjecting their perceptions as the case works its way through the court process, it all too often becomes a side show. A side show  that could cost an innocent person their life.

While we might never know who killed this child, or for that matter whether it was Casey or not, one thing is for sure. when we all calm down, take a deep breath, and relax, we will realize that our legal system worked.  It might not deal out the results we all wish for, but in the end, it works, and usually for the best.

We can not, and must never allow anyone to be tried by a public media. We can not allow people to judge persons based on made up evidence. Our court system is based on truth and justice, not on assumptions and made up perceptions based on evidence that has not one leg to stand upon.  If you charge murder, then it must be proven above and beyond a reasonable doubt.  That did not happen here.  Casey Anthony was cleared of murder charges.  Charges that were based on a theory of assumption. A wise jury followed the judges guidelines to the tee.

Thank God for that.  Because my friend, you might be the next defendant in a case built on sand!

That’s my point of view…………..I look forward to your viewpoint as well. Have a great day, and as usual……………. God Bless America!
