President Obama blames Congress for their failure to pass legislation that would have boosted jobs. In short, the President is placing the blame at the door-step of Congress for their failure to act on legislation that would create jobs and invigorate the American Economy. Once again, I am reminded of Mitch McConnell and his declaration that Congress does not want to do anything that would assure the re-election of Barrack Obama as President. Now that came out of the mouth of conservative republicans who have also declared that “They are the adults in the room”.
The fact is, that despite the arrogance and aloofness of this president, he is right on this point. This Congress, led mostly by the Conservative Right and the Tea Party, has made it clear from day one that they had no intention, never had any intention, nor will they attempt in any way to work with this President in any form of unity. They want him out, that’s all there is to it.
That has been the situation from day one. I am not saying that this president has been right on every matter. I am not saying there is not justification for angry voters when it comes to Mr. Obama’s legislative agenda. We all have a right to our point of view, but I also say that Congress, despite their political view-point has an obligation to assure the security of the United States of America and her people. You should not hold up legislation just because of some fear that it might somehow serve to get Barrack Obama re-elected.
It seems that this perception might be suddenly imposing itself upon the American people because suddenly it seems that several of the key elections that Republicans hoped would assure them a new majority in the Senate might be up in the air. People might not be happy with the way things are, but that does not mean that the whole country concurs with the Far Right and their strict Conservative agenda that leaves most Americans out, and the rich with all they want.
Well, enough said.
Have a good night…………….and as usual God Bless America!
