The Obama campaign is in the red, according to receipts for May of this year according to a Yahoo news report.  If that is the case, it is not good news for this campaign that many pundants are saying is in serious trouble.  And that’s not all. Now with his Attorney General being held in contempt of Congress for not releasing requested information regarding a gun deal gone wrong in Mexico, one which might have gone un-noticed if it had not been for a Federal Agent being killed in and several others murdered with some of the weapons sold to Mexico Drug Cartels for some covert operation.  Then President Obama decided that the information demanded by Congress from the Attorney Genearal needed to be kept secret, he declared ‘Executive privilege’ and that is setting off another war of words in this crazy campaign year.

That’s not all that this president has to worry about.  Also looming before him is a historic Supreme Court Decision on National Healthcare that many think the Supreme Court will bounce, that is rule against.  The Presidents headaches do not stop there however.  He is still watching a world economy on the brink, and of course he knows full well that if Europe slides down into recession, so too goes The United States.  Of course, Americans being what they are, will react as they always do in such situations.  They will blame President Obama, the incumbant, and with that finish the job in November by voting for Mitt Romney who can not do any more to improve a European catastrophe either.  But the american people want stability now and if they don’t get it …………… well… What can I say.

So there is no doubt that this President is in serious trouble.  He is having a hard time convincing the American people that much of the problems that we are facing in this country are not in his control. Republicans on the other hand will do everything to convince Americans that all our recessionary woes are the fault of this president, and that after four years it’s time for a change.

The question is would that change be for the better under a Romney Administration? Don’t forget it was Romney who clarified that if he had been at the helm General Motors, the leader of our Industrial Complex, and a major employer in this country would not have been bailed out.  I wonder what would have happened to Wall Street firms like Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac and Chase and a few other major Wall St. Movers and Shakers  if Mitt had been at the helm.  Oh, I might add, that people still fail to realize that the Crash happened under Bush not Obama.  The latter was left to clean up the mess. But that makes no difference in Politics.  The question is, Who is left holding the bag?

As it stands, the polls are tight all around. Some show the President in the lead. Others show him holding on by a thread. There are polls showing Romney surging ahead. But this I can say for sure.  If Obama can not get his campaign coffers full of money in a hurry, he might be looking at a change of address in the near future.

Keep watching America, because, as John Wayne once said  “This thing ain’t over yet”.

Have a good night and as usual……………God Bless America!

I am 62 years old. I've been blogging for several years. I am into History and Politics as well as currant events. The latter being the main issues covered on these pages. I was a Community Advocate for twenty years, and a volunteer aide in a State Representatives Office in my home state of Michigan. While I have basically ceased these activities, I still watch the world around me closely and report on it as much as I can, which I might add is often. I encourage comments on my Blogs. I only ask that we keep our opinions clean and without insults threats or intimidation. I hope you take time to read The Horton Journal, and look forward to your comments.
