Campaign 2012 is well on its way.  The race is getting tighter. Despite what some pundants would say, I still think this race will be close, very close.  it is a clear choice between the ideals of the Right and Left.  Conservative and Liberal.  And Americans will have to make up their minds. I am thinking that many will not make that final decision until they step into the booth.  Yes, that’s democracy in action.

Conservative rant about Obama Care. They forget though that the candidate they endorsed was the author of Medical Care Reform in his own State. Mr. Romney pushed it when he was governor of Massachusetts.  Now he opposes it. Says it’s a bad plan. It’s gotta go.  He said if elected the first thing he will do is repeal Obama Care.  Now, some of his own are saying ‘not so fast’, some of these components are pretty good after all.  Not too loudly though, but they are saying it.

Then there is the issue of Foreign policy.  True, Obama has no real foreign policy.  he sure is not all that respected in the higher courts of Foreign Representation.  Under Mr. Obama we are not the war mongers we once were. He did get Osama Bin Laden, you got to hand him that, He got us out of Iraq, you can give him that one too. He wants out of Afghanistan, but that part of the plan is stalled.

Mr. Romney has made it clear though that if he is elected President, there will be nuclear capable Iran. He will support an Israeli attack, if they do attack, and we will protect Israel all the way.

Obama on the other hand prefers to negotiate with Iran, and talk them out of nuclear capability.  So here’s the score. Romney would go to war with Iran at the drop of a hat. Obama is more cautious, If Romney is elected it looks as if were off to war, and Mothers will welcome home more caskets of sons and daughters killed over seas.  If Obama is elected he will continue to get our soldiers home.

On domestic affairs, Obama is for the Middle Class. Romney represents the Richest of the Rich. Clear choice. Obama has made it clear that recovery is a slow process.  That this recession was far worse than any other.  While people are returning to work gradually, he too is not happy with the progress. Unemployment remains at 8.3%.  Romney however, would say Obama is at fault. However, clearly, it is Congress who is at fault for once again doing absolutely nothing, Natta, zero to improve our faltering economic situation. Any Bill that would get Americans working has been blocked by Conservative Republicans in the House.  Nothing has, or will pass. That is the plan by Conservatives as set forth by the Conservative Right. They will do nothing that might get Obama re-elected President of The United States.  If that means throwing the country in to Depression….So be it!

Now, as of this writing, with our nation in the midst of a persistant attempt to recover, The House and the Senate recessed for five weeks.

The choices are clear. The lines in the sand drawn. There is no doubt of who is or is not in favor of the Middle Class.  there is no doubt as to who favors the rich.  They might all try to convince you of something else but the picture is there  for all to see.  And yes, it will be a razor close election.  If you seek to define Class warfare……Look to the United states of America.

That’s my point of view…..I hope to hear from you and your view as well.  Until then……Have a great day and as usual

God Bless America!

I am 62 years old. I've been blogging for several years. I am into History and Politics as well as currant events. The latter being the main issues covered on these pages. I was a Community Advocate for twenty years, and a volunteer aide in a State Representatives Office in my home state of Michigan. While I have basically ceased these activities, I still watch the world around me closely and report on it as much as I can, which I might add is often. I encourage comments on my Blogs. I only ask that we keep our opinions clean and without insults threats or intimidation. I hope you take time to read The Horton Journal, and look forward to your comments.
