It’s the Republican National Convention and all of Talk Radio is there to anoint Mitt Romney…..No matter how hard it is to swallow.  But that is the way things are, and all good Republicans have been called to Florida to assist in the send off of the most honorable Mitt Romney and his campaign for President of the United States. Swallow again.

I am not going to pretend that I endorse this kind of media hype of which Talk Radio swears that they never engage in. But things I guess being as they are, and in as much that they have to get Barrack Obama out of the White House, some how, some way, Radio media hype is all they have left. So now, as Gerardo Rivera says they are all on Radio Row at the great convention to watch all the hoop-da-la as Mitt takes the floor and tells us all his life story and tries to convince us that he really is just one of those working joe’s. Yeah, he lives a great big mansion. He has a resort or two. He’s got so much  dough that he could make a loaf of bread the size as an Olympic size swimming pool.  Maybe two, if not three.  But, still he is compassionate about America, so compassionate he wants to own it!

Of course it seems all the big money is behind him. If he can garner enough votes as a result then he will be President and we will finally be told what it is he really plans of doing to us…..I mean to the country……I mean for the country! Well….you get my point.

As I see it, Mr. Romney is playing this one right out of the Republican Play Book.  Say nothing of any real substance. Endorse nothing of real substance.  Don’t show your hand, just play around the edges. Have good media shots, go for News Bites for the National Media, retain an air of self-assurance, and whatever you do don’t tell America what you are going to do, how your going to do it, when your going to do it and most important, Who Your Going To do It To!

That there is how Rick Snyder pulled it off in Michigan, and then he gave us the February surprise. Too late now,  isn’t it?

Now the format of this article should not be read as an endorsement of Mr. Obama. I don’t think he has been given the best advise. In fact, sometimes I wonder if those who are payed to advise him haven’t been bought off by The Republican National Committee…Wouldn’t that be a hoot?…..

Mr. Obama persists in trying to blame everyone for his problems. It’s OK to explain that he inherited this mess. But he is the President, and he has to step up, stand firm and take responsibility for it.  He also has to tell the American people the facts.  ‘The reason things are so bogged down is because Congress has decided that no stone should be left unturned, every effort taken to assure that he does not win re-election, up to and including stalling all legislation on the Floor that even has a hint of Obama’s signature on it’. Now, with a little help from Congress we might get something done! If he can’t get his point across to the People then the people are going to bounce his butt back to Chicago.

I am just trying to say this.  Barrack Obama is not out of the woods.  he is not a shoe in. He needs to bring his case….Not The Republican Case… the people.  He needs to explain his hopes for America, and put something out there to excite and gain the attention of the American People.  If he can’t do that. If he can not give the people something to chew on, that they feel confident with, then, come November he might be looking for a new house in which to hang his hat!

That’s the way I see things……What do you think?  I look forward to hearing your point of view. Until then ………… Have a great day……..and God Bless America!

I am 62 years old. I've been blogging for several years. I am into History and Politics as well as currant events. The latter being the main issues covered on these pages. I was a Community Advocate for twenty years, and a volunteer aide in a State Representatives Office in my home state of Michigan. While I have basically ceased these activities, I still watch the world around me closely and report on it as much as I can, which I might add is often. I encourage comments on my Blogs. I only ask that we keep our opinions clean and without insults threats or intimidation. I hope you take time to read The Horton Journal, and look forward to your comments.
