Here we are, watching a major horrific crisis continuing to unfold across the East Coast of The United States, and the mayor of NYC decides that he is going to allow a marathon foot race to take place in the Big Apple even if it means throwing victim’s of the hurricane out of their hotel room so those running the race can be oh-so-comfy.  Are you serious?  I listened as a lady interviewed on a radio program explained that the hotel management had told her and her friend or daughter, that they had to get out because the room was reserved for the runners. I mean, here we are evacuating hospitals and the mayor of New York sees fit to slap his own citizens in the face to cater to a bunch of yuppie marathoner’s running a 26 mile race. Oh please give it a break.  People are trapped 13, 15, 19 and even 20 stories up in dark apartment buildings, and can not get out, and Mayor Clowno’ decides they are not of any real concern. But the almighty dollar is more important than that of the lives, welfare and safety of the people who elected him.   There’s a sad commentary for you. Just another example I guess of the Rich taking care of the Rich.

Now it is my understanding that Rush Limbaugh  is really upset with Governor Christie over all this mushy, kissy-kissy, gratitude for President Obama and his assistance during the course of the hurricane that tore a hole through New Jersey.  He said he was grateful for the Presidents stepping up to the plate, and when asked about the difference of political philosophy, Christie was not at all interested in the political as much as he was in the helpful.  Limbaugh apparently went as far as saying something about it sounding like secret love affair.  The Conservative Right can not deal with a Republican who in any way expresses appreciation for this President or anyone recognizing the humanity of President Obama or any other person identified as Democrat.  Like I said in my last entry, Sounds like there is panic in the air. But this time it is not the Democrats, but it seems to be the Republicans.  Wonder why?

OK, it is the last weekend before the 2012 election. The game is almost over. Soon, and very soon, the voices of Political mumble jumbo, with all the lying platitudes, and sorry phrases made up  by political hacks and speech writers that can care less where the country is heading, but only that their guy wins, will cease their boring monotone for at least four years.  Of course if President Obama wins, there will be no peace or quiet in the Halls of the Rush Limbaugh School of Advance Conservative Studies. First he will be trying to explain away the victory of President Obama, and preparing his talking points to continue his campaign against the sitting President.  Then he will have to explain how the Democrats cheated their way to victory, and that it was Governor Romney who ran a fair, un-biased campaign.  But America did not listen, and now… all is lost.

Then there is Sean Hannady, who will of course start-up the Stop Obama Express to stall everything, anything and all things Obama in their tracks.  Neither of these so-called un-biased Radio Talk Show Hosts who catered only to the Republican Right will stop their campaign opposing the President of The United States.

Now, of course, if Governor Romney wins, and that could very well be the case, we will never be able to shut these two down. They will brag, crow, blat, and carry on until  earth freezes over.  Yes, they will say that President-elect Romney is the greatest thing ever. The answer to all our woes. He is going to straighten everything out. He will save the nation, bring China to her knees, and Russia will cater to The United States, Arab Nations will knell once again to the greatness of America, and Israel will be saved. The American economy shall recover in double time. All will be well. These platitudes of greatness will go on until the new President makes a mistake, or does something that does not fit their narrow fancy, and then it’s heaven help the President. they have Fodder for their cannon!

And then Dear reader………..and then, well, it’s back to the same ol’ political crapola that we were dealing with for the past four years……….It’s all the Democrats fault!

Well, I feel a little better now.

Have a great weekend.  Any thoughts? I look forward to hearing from you. If not that’s OK too.  Pray for the folks on the East Coast, and as usual God Bless America.

I am 62 years old. I've been blogging for several years. I am into History and Politics as well as currant events. The latter being the main issues covered on these pages. I was a Community Advocate for twenty years, and a volunteer aide in a State Representatives Office in my home state of Michigan. While I have basically ceased these activities, I still watch the world around me closely and report on it as much as I can, which I might add is often. I encourage comments on my Blogs. I only ask that we keep our opinions clean and without insults threats or intimidation. I hope you take time to read The Horton Journal, and look forward to your comments.
