……….And it all comes down to this. two strikes, three balls, bases loaded end of the ninth inning. The wind-up and here it comes……the last and final pitch of the game.  And now, the ball, it just hovers there in the air, between the pitcher’s mound and home plate. The catchers glove is at the ready. The Umpire squats a little lower to get a good view of the final pitch as the ball makes its way to Home Plate.  No matter what. No matter which way it goes now, this is it the final and last pitch in a game undecided, and a decision too close to call.

That is the way it is with this campaign. Barrack Obama, a Liberal Democrat, bent on changing the course of American History.  and Mitt Romney, the son of a former Governor of the State of Michigan and a former Governor himself from Massachusetts, and a Rich CEO who many people have a hard time trusting because of the recent recession that the country just went through.  Some are saying that President Obama has not done a good job. But they can not trust Romney to do us any better. Might as well keep the President for four more years.  then there are those that say this president has not done a good job. The economy is still a mess, jobs are still hard to find, and, well,it didn’t work out so lets give Mitt a chance and see what he can do.

However, one thing is sure. The American electorate is not at all happy with The United States Economic Situation. Congress has come to a stand still, nothing it seems, is getting done in Washington.  And our deficit continues to grow putting the U.S. further and further in debt to nations like that of China.

The world situation is not much better for that matter.  The Mid-East has gone from a hot spot to one raging at a boiling point. Whats worse, it seems, is that radical Islam is taking more and more control of the Mid-East and now, Israel is just about surrounded.  It is a serious situation, and most Americans have no idea what is going on over there because they have been told that the big issue is the American Economy. So, they look at the economy and have no idea that the enemy of the United States is lurking, literally at their front door. As a result, Foreign Affairs Policy is a mess, and in worse shape than ever before.

That is the state of affairs in which we lie.  We have a ballooning  deficit, foreign affairs is a shambles, jobs are scarce, our economy is sluggish, wages have decreased, and the people of this great nation have no idea which way to turn. Some say ….Stay the course, don’t jump ship now.  Others say that President Obama did not get the job done, so it is time for a change.  Specifically, Governor Romney said  ” President Obama said he would s the problem in four years, he failed. I will solve the problem in eight to ten years”.  Now that was an interesting twist.  Because if we are to believe the Governor, then maybe we should just stay the course, after all, President Obama is half way there.

Yep……It’s a Barn Burner of an election. It’s been a tough campaign.  Both candidates are hourse  now, losing their voice in the final moments of the waning campaign. It’s all over but the waiting. Sometime Tuesday night, or in the wee hours of Wednesday morning we will hear the victors cry.

And still, after all this.  I am unable to project a winner.  I know this though…….All Eyes Are On Ohio!

Have a great night. Take a breather, get some sleep, and what ever you do.

Good Night and God Bless America!

I am 62 years old. I've been blogging for several years. I am into History and Politics as well as currant events. The latter being the main issues covered on these pages. I was a Community Advocate for twenty years, and a volunteer aide in a State Representatives Office in my home state of Michigan. While I have basically ceased these activities, I still watch the world around me closely and report on it as much as I can, which I might add is often. I encourage comments on my Blogs. I only ask that we keep our opinions clean and without insults threats or intimidation. I hope you take time to read The Horton Journal, and look forward to your comments.
