Once again the President has changed course in the midst of a crisis and has everyone wondering what direction we will take this time. Now, it’s the Iranian crisis. With radical Al Quida forces on the way to Bagdad, the Iraqian Government made up mostly of Shiites has called for the United States to intervene.  President Obama went before the press yesterday to explain that the United States is extremely concerned with the sudden turn of events in Iraq. He seems to agree that some form of US intervention might be necessary, but that in the end Iraq will have to one way or the other fend for herself.

When pressed for the details that would bring about US intervention, and adding also that there are those that advocate a more “Boots on the ground”, approach to this problem, the president’s response was that there were legal considerations in this matter that had to be considered prior to any intervention be it boots on the ground or air support.

Now, isn’t that interesting ?  Two weeks ago the president was quite precise about the law when he made a decision to supercede the law mandating a 30 day notice prior to any prisoner exchange involving terrorists. He ended up releasing five of the most dangerous terrorists in the world for a soldier gone rogue, who deserted his post and was caught by the Tali Ban in Afghanistan, and held prisoner for several years. Several US military personal lost their lives looking for this guy to no avail.

These same terrorists names had been submitted to congress before, and Congress said no way to their release under any circumstances. However, later, the President submitted a cover memo regarding the 30 day notice mandate to Congress in future terrorist transactions clarifying that he reserved the right to superceded the law of notice under certain circumstances.  In light of the legal ramifications of this recent terrorist transaction, the president in fact did exercise what he said was his right to supercede the law to notify congress of such release intentions with 30 day notice, and released the terrorists anyway.

However, with the Iraqian situation there is this sudden admiration and respect for the law. There are legal considerations that must be considered prior to any US actions in support of Bagdad almost assured demise if in fact we do not intervene.

I wonder where this sudden respect for the law came from. It sure was not a factor two weeks ago.

This is just another example of why I have these serious reservations with regard to this President. His use of the law for his own interests. That is when it suites him and his agenda which I am sorry to say seems to lean toward Islamic radicals who I might add see us as nothing more than Infidels worthy only of death. This same president has turned on Israel, leaning toward Palestine, who, if they had their way, would run Israel into the sea.

It is this same president who seems to be more sympathetic toward Islam, and Islamic traditions taking hold here in the United States, than he is about the interests of and the assured protection of the American people. Thus, he now becomes evasive when it might become necessary for US intervention in Iraq, to protect the city and her people from the ravages of you guessed it…..Radical Islamic terrorists.

Ohhhhh……What a tangled web we weave, the only problem is it is this presidents whole motive to deceive.

Have a great day folks.
