Lately a lot of people have been asking whether or not President Obama is truly acting in the best interests of the United States. Recently though, former Vice President under the Bush Administration Dick Cheney and his daughter Liz have launched a full scale attack on president Obama and his foreign policy.
In a recent interview on Fox News with Megan Kelley Liz Cheney said that president Obama is dangerous and is not acting in the best interests of the country.
Mr. Cheney said that the policies of the past 6 years of the Obama administration, have left America diminished and weakened. Cheney said “Our enemies no longer fear us, and our allies no longer trust us”. The former Vice President also said that foreign leaders had told him that they believe that the president secretly supports anti american organizations.
This is just another example of what The Horton Journal has been expressing about the direction that this administration is taking. While I am certainly not prepared to go as far as Mr. Cheney, I have to recognize that the former VP has far more contacts and verifiable information than I do. But, it seems all too often, that President Obama is in fact going in the opposite direction of what US foreign policy was expected to be. His evasiveness with Israel , his avid support of Palestine, his obvious behind the scene dealings with Terrorist organizations to attain what the President says are policies in the best interests of the United States.
Again and again, I have questioned this president’s foreign policy. It seemed to me that his exercise of arrogant behavior was his personal opinion that he had one up even on his own advisors. It has seemed that good solid advice has been ignored and instead the president opted for a plan that fell right into the hands of the opposition. The recent action of gaining the release of an american soldier, held captive by the Taliban, in exchange for five of the most dangerous terrorists held captive by the United States was a perfect example of yet another blunder imposed on us by a president not acting in the best interest of the United States. Now, even I am questioning whether or not there is some secret tie-bar between this and the move on Bagdad by radical Islamist terrorists. The President has clarified that there would be no boots on the ground, but that the US would instead consider the use of air support. Token air support as a guise to meet his personal objective, the fall of Iraq to become a strong hold for anti american radical Islamist terrorist organizations? Just saying.
However, knowing Dick Cheney, there is more here that meets the eye. He is a long time politician and policy wonk who usually has an objective and motive when he takes the scene and takes some political action. The launch of his anti-Obama Web Site is a perfect example of an obvious motive and objective. Yes, one could say that the Conservative Right is on the move, and has every intention of doing everything to r this president and create enough question to bring about an assured Conservative Right Congress.
Only time will tell, but this I do know. The Republicans are now pulling out all the stops, and if their stand takes…..This administration is in real trouble. And that is with a capital “T”.
Have a great day.
