It seems with each passing day we find ourselves living in a more dangerous world than the very day before. It seems that with each passing day, each week, that another group, or army turns its nose up at the United States, and either taunts us, or declares Jihad against all America.

During the course of the last decade it seems our nation is growing weaker, more distant, less involved, and well, in general no longer a major player on the world field. It seems the very countries we bailed out after WWII no longer want much to do with the United States.

Our country suffers from poor economic judgement, lousy foreign policy, absurd military policy, and weak domestic policy. As our economy dives deeper into the deficit ridden tank, the people suffer more and more each day. we live hand to mouth, and have watched as we knock one more luxury off our household budget after another. I for example don’t have cable TV anymore, JUST CAN’T AFFORD IT!

The cost of living continues to spiral out of control, while wages dive lower and lower. What most people do not understand is that so-called Right to Work States spell at will termination as well. People think that labor law will protect them. What they fail to realize though is that Labor law is written for the employer….not the employee.  No Union, far less employee rights.

Now with the birth of this ISIS and a waring middle East, persistent terrorists attacks, won ton killing of innocent people not even involved in the Mid eastern Centuries old conflict. With economies on the fall. fewer jobs, higher debt and lower wages everyone is one step away from the street. Life has become nothing more than a series of struggles, financial crisis, and  economic downturns.

Yep, we are living in a dangerous world……..and oh one more thing……It’s an election year.

Enough said.

I am 62 years old. I've been blogging for several years. I am into History and Politics as well as currant events. The latter being the main issues covered on these pages. I was a Community Advocate for twenty years, and a volunteer aide in a State Representatives Office in my home state of Michigan. While I have basically ceased these activities, I still watch the world around me closely and report on it as much as I can, which I might add is often. I encourage comments on my Blogs. I only ask that we keep our opinions clean and without insults threats or intimidation. I hope you take time to read The Horton Journal, and look forward to your comments.
