REPUBLICANS ON VERGE OF TAKING SENATE AND HOUSE.

According to the latest polls, the Republicans might take the Senate and the House could remain firmly in Republican hands thus blocking the Presidents steam rolling abilities, and thus stalling the President’s agenda opposed by Conservatives.

As I understand it, Louisiana and Arkansas figure highly in the election as well as N. Carolina. The President has clarified that if and when Congress does not cooperate with him, then he will go it alone via the use of executive Orders. Republicans though, claim that the President has abused the right to Executive privilege.  However, there is not much that the House can do about it in as much that the Senate is controlled by Democrats, who refuse any compromises with Republicans.

With the situation in the Mid-East getting out of control, considering ISIS, and their rampant executions of both Americans and British citizens, the Obama administration has responded by bombing sights South of Bagdad. They have also increased troop presence in Iraq.  But Republicans charge that the President should never have pulled out in the first place. Had he not done that we would not be in the situation that we are currently in. ISIS has spread across the entire sector, and they are growing in strength, and as a result many think that they are a serious threat to both Europe as well as The United States.

Here in the United States many people are opposed to further involvement in the Mid-East. But when questioned more extensively, they want a stronger defense, one assuring U.S. Security. This is what gives Democrats the impression that they can take the November election.

I am not sure about that. When one considers the domestic issues, inflation and the cost of living I am still convinced that Republicans can steal the show. What they have to do though, is get the word out, focusing on Middle Class, Industrial-Manufacturing, Hispanic voters, as well as other minorities. The biggest thing is that they need to focus on getting across that they are in favor of a strong Industry, and better paying jobs in factories.

This would serve republicans well considering that under Democrats wages are low, taxes high, while the cost of living goes up. Most families suffer seriously from stagnate wages and ever-growing increased cost of living. this is why they have a real chance of taking November.

Well, time will tell. Stay tuned.

Have a great day.

About THE HORTON JOURNAL A POLITICAL PERSPECTIVE

I am 62 years old. I've been blogging for several years. I am into History and Politics as well as currant events. The latter being the main issues covered on these pages. I was a Community Advocate for twenty years, and a volunteer aide in a State Representatives Office in my home state of Michigan. While I have basically ceased these activities, I still watch the world around me closely and report on it as much as I can, which I might add is often. I encourage comments on my Blogs. I only ask that we keep our opinions clean and without insults threats or intimidation. I hope you take time to read The Horton Journal, and look forward to your comments.
